Church provides complimentary health checks and medication to 500 individuals in Ogun

In Abeokuta, the capital of Ogun State, a significant health initiative was recently conducted by the Glorious Liberty Church, benefitting approximately 500 local inhabitants.

This free health service included checks for common health issues such as malaria, typhoid, hypertension, and blood sugar levels. In a collaborative effort with Beth-help Foundation, the church also distributed food and clothing to over 1,500 elderly individuals.

During the event, which took place at the church premises, Senior Pastor Richard Osanaiye emphasized that all medications were provided at no cost. Additionally, some attendees received complimentary eye exams and prescription glasses from an ophthalmologist present at the event.

Pastor Osanaiye reaffirmed the church's dedication to ongoing free medical services for the community, noting that such initiatives are part of GLC Global’s vision to support the underprivileged.

He mentioned that the church frequently organizes events to distribute food and medical aid, especially focusing on those suffering from high blood pressure and malaria. This particular event catered to around 1,500 people, providing them with food, clothing, and medical services.

Highlighting the plight of senior citizens, widows, and others unable to work or lacking familial support, Pastor Osanaiye suggested the need for government strategies to assist these groups. He referenced biblical teachings about caring for the elderly and widows, noting the church's role in supporting those without caretakers.

In a related development, Adeshina Ogunsola, Chairman of the Obafemi-Owode Local Government Area, called on corporations and philanthropists in December 2023 to contribute to community development. He emphasized that community improvement is a collective responsibility and that such contributions can significantly alleviate people's hardships.
