AFCON: Confirmed Results of Drug Test for Osimhen two Super Eagles Players
It has been confirmed that the drug tests carried out on
three players from the Super Eagles during the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations have
all returned negative. The tests were performed on Victor Osimhen, a striker,
Ademola Lookman, a forward, and William Troost-Ekong, the team captain.
The testing occurred after Nigeria's successful 2-0 win
against Cameroon in the Round of 16, a match that saw Lookman scoring twice,
propelling the team into the quarter-finals where they are set to play against
Angola this Friday.
Osimhen and Troost-Ekong have contributed one goal each to
the team's efforts so far in the tournament. With this result, all three are
expected to be available for the upcoming match against the Palancas Negras.
