Tinubu Names New Heads for NCC, Galaxy Backbone, NIGCOMSAT

President Bola Tinubu has given the green light for the appointment of ten new executive heads within key agencies under the Ministry of Communications and Digital Economy, namely the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), Galaxy Backbone Limited, and Nigerian Communications Satellite Limited (NIGCOMSAT).

The announcement of these appointments was made by the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale, in a statement released on Thursday titled, 'President Tinubu reconstitutes management teams in agencies under the Federal Ministry of Communications and Digital Economy.'

The appointments at the Nigerian Communications Commission include Abraham Oshadami as Executive Commissioner of Technical Services, Rimini Makama as Executive Commissioner of Stakeholder Management, and Opeyemi Dele-Ajayi as President and CEO of the Digital Bridge Institute.

Similarly, at Nigerian Communications Satellite Limited, the appointed individuals are Abiodun Attah as Executive Director of Technical Services, Aisha Abdullahi as Executive Director of Finance & Administration, and Jaiyeola Awokoya as Executive Director of Marketing & Business Development.

President Tinubu has also named Ibrahim Adeyanju as the Managing Director/CEO of Galaxy Backbone Limited, alongside three executive directors: Mohammed Ibrahim as Executive Director of Finance & Corporate Services, Olusegun Olulade as Executive Director of Customer Centricity & Marketing, and Olumbe Akinkugbe as Executive Director of Digital Exploration & Technical Services.

The objective behind these appointments is to rejuvenate the management teams within these agencies, with a focus on delivering outstanding service to enhance the impact of the digital economy sector on the nation's socio-economic development, as stated by Ngelale.
